ORGANISERS are preparing for the next Kop Hill Climb which raised a staggering £30,000 last year.
The historic motoring event was re-introduced in Princes Risborough in 2009 after the previous one was held in 1925.
It has since enjoyed two successful events and the money raised last year went to Iain Rennie Hospice, Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance, Buckinghamshire Community Foundation, Aylesbury Youth Motor Project, Skidz and other local organisations.
Organisers said the challenge this year, which is taking place on September 24 and 25, is to raise even more funds.
The Hampden Estate has also agreed a five-year-plan which means that the event is secured and there will be improvements to the site.
There will be an array of veteran cars ranging from 1904 to 1973 with Jaguars E Type celebrating its 50th anniversary and the oldest surviving Aston Martin A3 prototype.
The patrons for this year event are Countess Howe, Lord Hollenden, Adrian Shooter, Dick Skipworth and Paddy Hopkirk On the day tickets are £10 for the first ticket and £5 for each other adult in the car or party. Discounted tickets can be brought prior to the event at tourist and information centres in Aylesbury, High Wycombe, Marlow, Princes Risborough, Wendover and the Iain Rennie Shop in Princes Risborough as well as online. Children under 12 free. Go to www.kophillclimb.org.uk for more information.
