MIDSOMER Murders took over Penn's Cottage Bookshop last Tuesday to film a scene for the upcoming series.
Jason Hughes, who plays DS Ben Jones, was part of the scene but the new Barnaby, played by Neil Dudgeon was not.
The film crew came up a few weeks before with the director and location manager to make sure it was what they wanted.
They arrived at about 7.30am on the day and left at 11.30am.
The bookshop has featured in the series before when John Nettles, the original Inspector Barnaby, filmed there.
