HEAVY rain is causing problems on the roads this afternoon, with three cars stuck bonnet-deep in rainwater in High Wycombe.
The cars are on the A4010 John Hall Way in Cressex, which is blocked both ways. The worst flooding is near the junction with Lansdowne Way.
Police said officers are on the scene and recovery vehicles are on the way. Huge puddles have also caused problems on the M40 and other Bucks roads today.
A fire crew was called to London Road at about 2pm, to divert water from the road surface near the Rye.
Spokesman Fraser Pearson said: "There was about a foot of water on the roadway. They had to intervene to prevent it becoming more serious."
The firefighters have used a pump, sand bags and environmental pack to divert the water.
Another crew has been called to Booker Hill School, in Field Road, after reports of water leaking into a building.
