WACKY racers will again plunge down a hillside in a variety of bizarre contraptions in Cookham on Sunday.
Specially made street carts will compete to win the fifth Cookham Dean Gravity Grand Prix.
Last year, watched by hundreds, a liquorice allsorts and thunderbirds style competitor were among the vehicles which raced from the junction of Church Road and Spring Lane to Uncle Tom’s Cabin.
The Kaffirs of Cookham Dean are the organisers and raise money for The Thames Valley & Chiltern Air Ambulance.
Up to thirty carts will compete for a variety of prizes.
The Craufurd Cut-Throats delighted crowds as they went downhill in their pirate ship, complete with exploding cannons, and took first prize for most novel cart in the 2010 event.
The race starts at 1.30pm.
