HOLTSPUR School has received a donation of £1,000 from Waitrose to help develop its vegetable garden.
Alaistair Boot, manager at the firm’s Beaconsfield store, said: “We chose to support Holtspur because of our shared interest in good food and the environment.
“It is the Waitrose way to promote living well and Holtspur grows its own food as part of their healthy living campaign....We applaud what Holtspur is doing for the environment.”
The Cherry Tree Road school recently took part in a Royal Horticultural Society event to encourage parents to get involved with maintaining schools' gardens.
