A BUDDING showbiz reporter interviewed two stars of The Muppets in a webcast watched by quarter of a million people.

Lucy Harrison interviewed Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy at the swanky Mayfair Hotel ahead of the new Muppets film being released on Friday.

The 11-year-old from Chalfont St Peter was invited along to meet the famous pair through education charity FILMCLUB's Young Ambassador scheme, which helps schools set up and run their own film clubs.

As well as quizzing Kermit and Miss Piggy, Lucy also met the Muppets film's director James Bobin at the press conference, which was broadcast live over the internet to FILMCLUB's 250,000 members.

The St Josephs Catholic Primary School pupil said: "It feels really good to have interviewed Miss Piggy and Kermit. It was really good and really fun. It was a bit nerve-wracking, but it was just amazing."

At the press call Lucy asked Kermit: "It is a long time since you’ve done a film, did you still get along with all your old friends?"

Kermit replied: "We all made new friends on this film and that’s always the best part of being with the Muppets. But yes, Lucy, it’s always wonderful to get back together with all the gang, all the different personalities, all the quirks…strange things happen, but yeah, I love it."
