MARLOW'S newest Reverend is 'excited' to become part of town life as he is welcomed into the community with a special service at All Saints Church.
Reverend Dave Bull has moved with his wife Helen and three young children from Surrey to become the Team Rector in Marlow.
Rev'd Bull will now lead a team of seven vicars and youth workers from four churches around Marlow - All Saints, St Mary's in Marlow Bottom, St John the Baptist in Little Marlow and Bisham All Saints.
Rev'd Bull said: “There are some very lively churches in the area with plenty of exciting things happening so this is a huge opportunity for me.
“I want people to feel that they can go to any of our churches at any time and explore their faith and spirituality. Ask all the big questions we all think about from time-to-time.
“Our churches are as much a place to ask questions as they are to find answers.”
On Monday, Bishop Alan Wilson of Buckingham and Archdeacon Karen Gorman led an installation service for Rev'd Bull, attended by Mayor Cllr Jocelyn Towns and local school teachers.
As well as a keys to the church, Rev'd Bull was also presented with a rowing blade as a symbol of life in the riverside town.
Rev'd Bull said: “I have three young children and I thought Marlow would be a lovely place for us to live and work. I’m excited for us to become part of such a lively community.”
