A THREAT was made this afternoon in Castlefield with what police believe may have been a gun.
The exact nature of the threat that was made is not clear but the weapon was not fired and nobody was injured, police said.
The incident occurred at 1pm in Spearing Road, High Wycombe.
Det Sgt Yasmin Dean, based at High Wycombe police station, said: “We are encouraging the community to come forward after an incident in Spearing Road this afternoon where someone was threatened with what we believe could possibly have been a firearm.
“No shots were fired and nobody was injured.
“We are in the process of speaking to witnesses and I urge anyone who has information about what happened and has not yet contacted the police, to come forward.
“We believe there were a group of people in the service road area of Spearing Road shortly before the incident and I am keen to hear from anyone who saw these people, or know who they are.
“I don't want the community to feel unnecessarily alarmed as we believe that this was a targeted incident.”
Police did not say whether the culprit was a man or woman and no other description was given.
