FIREFIGHTERS had to work in a river in Chesham Bois to release an injured man from a car.
Firefighters were called at 12.03am this morning to Holloway Lane, also known as Hollow Way Lane, where a car was found upright in a river at the side of the road.
One appliance and crew from Chesham, two from Amersham and one from Beaconsfield attended, along with station manager Geoff Bottle.
Firefighters released a man, injured. Another man was released, injured, before they arrived.
Three ambulances from the South Central Ambulance Service attended.
Spokesman James Keating-Wilkes said there were three people in the car, who were all taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital- one with a possible broken arm.
He said two people were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure as the car had sat in the water for quite a while and they were wet and cold.
