A FREE spirited man living in the woods has defiantly declared he and his supporters will chain themselves to the trees if necessary after being told to leave.

Mykelti Nnjh Seunarayan, 23, has sent a defiant message to council officers that he will not be turfed out from his unconventional residence.

A Facebook campaign has already begun to allow him to stay where in his tent in woodland near High Heavens rubbish tip in Booker, Great Marlow.

Officials from waste management firm Grundon, which is understood to own the land, have written to him asking him to vacate the site. A waste transfer station is set to be built there.

The former pupil of Cressex School, High Wycombe, said he has been living amongst the elements for a year now, with just a tent as shelter.

"I've set up a campaign and I'm not moving anywhere else," he told the Free Press.

"They say they own the land now but the research I've done says nobody owns it.

"I'll go as far as to get everyone from the campaign down here and chain ourselves to trees or anything. I'm not going. This is common land, for the people."

He explained the reason behind his unusual lifestyle.

"It's my religion, Rastafari," he said.

"We are one with the earth, you could call me a naturist. All the time I've been out here I've not been ill, if I'd be living in a house I'd have been ill four or five times in that year.

"We should be looking after the trees and the countryside. We need that, the trees are the lungs of the planet."

He said nobody wants the waste transfer station and he would continue defying any orders to leave.

Previously he lived in Clay Hill fields but was told to move off, and lived in Booker before taking to the great outdoors.

Mr Seunarayan said he gets by perfectly well and has a radio and gas cooker.

"The only difference is the walls are a bit thinner," he said.

However, he does rely on outside help for some things.

He bathes and charges his mobile phone at a friend's house near the woods.

Mr Seunarayan said he is still employed with a traffic management firm but, with the company struggling, he has not had any shifts for a while.

Grundon told the BFP it would not be making any comment on the matter at this time.
