  • "The press release was sent to the BFP, and probably many other newspapers, with the sole intent of generating more publicity for Ching.

As for the photograph; it is not offensive at all."

Row over naked photos of Beaconsfield violinist

A ROW has broken out over naked photographs of Beaconsfield violinist Analiza Ching - who starred on TV show Britain’s Got Talent.

She says the pictures, showing her with a carefully placed violin, have "brought shame on her family" after being splashed over the internet and tabloid press.

The 29-year-old, who moved to Britain from China when she was 16, told The Sun newspaper: "They were never supposed to be seen in public but because I have been on TV they are now all over the internet.

"I’m so upset that this has over-shadowed my performance on BGT...Those naked pictures have made it over to China where my family live and they are so upset....

"My relatives are completely shocked and are saying all sorts of nasty things to my parents..."

And she sent the Bucks Free Press this statement: "I was told by the photographer that she just wanted to try this (nude shots) to see what it would look like. That they would NOT be put out (issued) and that she wouldn’t use them. I trusted her."

This prompted a vehement statement of denial from the photographer concerned.

The photos were taken in autumn 2010 by Surrey-based photographer Helen Jones. She was working with freelance journalist Peter Robertson, who did an interview with Ching immediately after the shoot.

Mr Robertson, speaking on behalf of the pair, said the first of the pictures appeared alongside an article in The Daily Star Sunday on October 24 of that year, in which Analiza revealed she never wore underwear when performing, including a show she did for the Royal Family.

He added: "Ching posed for the naked pictures for the purposes of raising her profile. She didn’t just know they’d be offered to the media, she wanted them to be.

"I still have an email she sent me on the day the article was published, with one of the naked-but-for-a-violin pictures taking up most of the page.

"In that email Ching expresses her delight at the publicity, adding that her manager was similarly thrilled and suggested we should ‘get on to a few more other papers’.

"When more of the photos hit the press during the weekend of Ching’s recent appearance on BGT, she was quoted as saying she’d happily pose naked again, wouldn’t mind performing naked in the live rounds of BGT, or if she ever got the chance to play for Prince Harry."

He questioned whether she was trying to ‘save face’ back home in China, adding: “Her excuses cast aspersions on the professionalism of myself and Helen Jones.

“Why would a top photographer like Helen have wasted her time and money doing a shoot with a micro-celebrity like Ching if the resulting photos were not to be sold?”

Analiza appeared on Britain’s Got Talent earlier this month and made it through to the next round (see related links and video below)
