Fans delighted by Wanderers takeover Fans delighted by Wanderers takeover

DOZENS of Wycombe Wanderers fans have tonight spoken of their delight at the takeover of the club by a supporters’ trust.

More than 100 fans travelled to Adams Park this evening to hear more about the sale of Blues to Wycombe Wanderers Supporters Trust, which was completed last week.

The deal includes ownership of Adams Park, which will transfer to a new holding company owned by the Trust, called Frank Adams Legacy Ltd.

The club’s new board members were quizzed about the plans for about an hour, with supporters speaking positively about the takeover.

Afterwards fans told the Bucks Free Press they were impressed by the speakers, including Wanderers new joint-chairman Don Woodward, and believe they will get more say in how the club is run.

Others pledged to renew their season tickets on the back of the meeting, with one saying: “We’ve got our club back”.

See Friday's Bucks Free Press for the full story and reaction.

There is a lot of hard work for the Trust to do to get WWFC back into shape and disentangle the club from Wasps after the shambolic reign of Steve Hayes.
Tonight's meeting (and by all accounts yesterday's too) were very positive affairs with supporters presented with a vision of how to not only bring WWFC onto an even keel, but engaging and empowering supporters to do their bit for a club that now belongs to the fans, and not someone who's looking to make money out of the club.

We don't have the details yet but it looks as if Mr Hayes has behaved decently by selling the land - the major asset of WWFC - back to the club.

What does that have to do with the Trust taking over Wycombe Wanderers?

When is Mr Hayes 'Helping Police with their enquiries' again about the Computer Misuse Act? Sure it is supposed to be sometime in July as reported by a previous BFP article!
...
Yes you are right (@washondo) that if the Police find anything untoward, Mr Hayes may need the money for legal fees?
