Chiltern Steam Rally cancelled

A VINTAGE vehicle show planned to be held in Prestwood this weekend has been cancelled.

Incessant rain over the last few weeks has left the field where the Chiltern Steam Rally was due to take place unusable.

The show was due to take place over both days of this weekend.

A message on the website of the Chiltern Traction Engine Club, which organised the show, said: “This weekend’s rally has been cancelled. The continuous rain has waterlogged the field. Traffic movement has cut up the surface.

“With the forecast for more rain over the next few days there is no chance that the surface will dry out.”
