  • "A post has been removed that prompted the suggestion that the offenders were not Caucasian? Blue eyes suggests one of the shites was caucasian which draws a conclusion that the other may not have been. Why the hell can't we just say what colour the offenders were for Christ's sake ... it ain't rocket science. If one appeared Pakistani or afro Caribbean, it's then say so. It's about finding these scum and stopping this from reoccurring, not about offending people because of the colour of their skin .... it's what it is and people irrespective of race, creed, colour whatever need to learn to live with it!!"

Attempted robbery on lone woman in High Wycombe alleyway

Attempted robbery on lone woman in Wycombe alleyway Attempted robbery on lone woman in Wycombe alleyway

TWO men sprung out from behind bushes in a High Wycombe alleyway and demanded a woman hand over her money.

The 21-year-old woman was nearing the end of the alleyway that joins West Wycombe Road with Malvern Close at 10.35pm on Monday when the men jumped out in front of her.

The pair demanded she hand over her cash but, after showing them her empty purse, she offered the men her phone instead.

The men said ‘it wasn’t good enough’ and threw the phone to the ground, police said.

The woman grabbed for her phone and dialled 999 and the attackers ran off empty handed towards The Pastures.

The woman was not harmed but was left shaken by the robbery attempt, police said.

The first man is described as over 6ft, slim, with blue eyes, and was clean shaven. He was wearing a black hooded top, black trousers and black gloves. He spoke with a local accent.

The second man was wearing dark clothing and may have been carrying something sharp, police said.
