Thieves take dumper truck and digger Thieves take dumper truck and digger

THIEVES took a dumper truck and a digger, escaping on the vehicles by driving through a fence and across a field.

The thefts occurred on Skirmett Road, Fingest, between 4pm on July 6 and 7am on July 9.

Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses who saw the yellow/grey Lifton Dumper truck and a red/white Takeuchi Mini Excavator being stolen.

If you have 2 officers go onto a site who then within minutes are surrounded by a dozen or more travellers I can imagine it being quite a intimidating situation to be in.

There seems to be quite a big increase in the theft of plant across our area at the minute. Maybe some crime prevention advice to farmers etc may help?
