A GROUP of youngsters who have worked hard to raise funds for a range of charities through a Rotary Club were rewarded with a sailing day.

Princes Risborough School Interactors went to Bury Lake, Rickmansworth, as a reward for their efforts over the past two years in raising funds for a range of charities.

The charities include Help for Heroes, The British Heart Foundation, Great Ormond Street Hospital and Children in Need.

They also supported community events such as fireworks night, Kop Hill Climb and the Christmas and music festivals.

The day was organised by the Rotary Club of Princes Risborough.

President Tom Winkworth said: "We all too frequently hear about the wrong doings of a minority but here we have a group of normal young people doing an excellent job in their community. Well done to all of them."

The Princes Risborough School Interact Club was formed in 2010 and is Rotary International’s service club for young people aged 12 to 18. Each year, Interact clubs complete at least two community service projects, one of which furthers international understanding and goodwill.
