Fundraiser in memory of Stokenchurch dad

A FUNDRAISER is being held in Stokenchurch in memory of a father who died from a lung condition.

Julia Walters has arranged the fun day at Longburrow Hall on August 4 in memory of her dad, Len Reeve, aged 84 from Beacons Bottom.

He died in Wycombe Hospital on March 26 from Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis of the lung. There is no cure.

Julia said: "It was horrific for my dad. It was just the worst thing that could happen to him.

"It scars the lung so in the end there is no lung left."

To raise awareness of the condition and raise money for the British Lung Foundation she has arranged the day called Being Len's Friend.

There will be six aside football from 12pm, stalls, face painting, refreshments, bouncy castle cakes, a bar and a BBQ.

In the evening from 8pm bands Teaser and Sitting Ducks will be performing at a disco. There is a raffle. Prizes to be won. For full details call Julia on 07721 444463.
