BUCKINGHAMSHIRE Fire & Rescue Service has its very own team doing its bit at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Firefighters are on hand at Eton Dorney Rowing Centre at Dorney Lake to help keep everyone safe while the rowing, canoe sprint and adaptive rowing events take place.

The team comprises representatives from Aylesbury, Beaconsfield, Bletchley, Gerrards Cross, Great Holm, High Wycombe, Princes Risborough and Stokenchurch Fire Stations and Training School at Haddenham.

It is using two emergency vehicles - a fully-equipped fire engine, and a specially-adapted four-wheel drive pick-up truck.
