Villagers reassured over running track plans

RESIDENTS were reassured this evening that plans for a running track would not be 'fast tracked' through - but concerns about the development remain.

Plans to relocate the running track from Handy Cross to Westhorpe Park in Little Marlow have caused controversy, with residents saying the area is unsuitable for the development.

Fears over anti-social behaviour, light and noise pollution and the amount of traffic passing through the village were all raised at a meeting of the parish council this evening.

But villagers were told that, contrary to rumour, building work would not start in November and the planning process would take far longer than that.

More on this story tomorrow.
