A FUNDRAISER at a pub raised £700 for a charity set up in memory of a High Wycombe boy.

The children's fun day and quiz night at The Beaconsfield Arms, Hughenden Road raised money for Rob'sARTTT.

The charity was set up in honour of Rob Holland who died in 2007, aged 15, from Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour and funds research into the disease.

One pub regular, Martin Pike, volunteered to have his face painted by Karen Harrison who face paints for the charity, which raised more than £160 and a further £36.20 the following day as he kept his paint on overnight.

Rob's mum Amanda Dunkerton thanked Martin and all the regulars for raising £700.55. Landlord John Shaw raised £292.50 of this amount by taking part in a Tough Guy course. The quiz was run by the charity's trustee Caroline Busby.
