Two arrests made over shooting Two arrests made over shooting

POLICE officers investigating a shooting have arrested two people this morning on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.

The crime occurred in March in Stour Close, Aylesbury and left a 33-year-old man with gunshot wounds to his arms and head.

A 33-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman in Grays, Essex, were detained today.

Senior Investigating Officer Det Ch Insp Gill Wootton said: “I would like to stress that this remains an ongoing inquiry and the two arrests this morning are a continuation of this investigation.

“As I have previously said, we do not believe this was a random attack and believe the victim was specifically targeted at his home.

“Although he was a resident in Aylesbury, he spent a lot of his time in the north west London area, where he grew up.

“I am still appealing to members of both communities to come forward if they have any information which could assist our investigation. A number of people have already come forward and have spoken with officers, but we believe there are still people out there with information they have not yet shared with us. Now is the time to do so.”

Police also remain keen to speak to a man described as being dressed as a delivery driver, who was seen in the Stour Close area between 9.30am and 10am on Wednesday 28 March. He was white, in his forties and about 5ft 9ins. He was wearing a dull green uniform and carrying a clipboard.

Officers would also like information on any suspicious people or vehicles seen in the Stour Close area on the day of the shooting, or the preceding days.

Call Det Ch Insp Wootton via the 24-hour Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
