AN office of a taxi firm based at a train station has been damaged after a fire.

The wooden office of the Great Missenden Taxi Company sustained minor damage after a fire broke out at about 5.34pm yesterday.

Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue sent two crews from High Wycombe to tackle the blaze at Great Missenden Train Station in Station Approach.

A man who was suffering from the effects of smoke was given oxygen but it is business as usual at the taxi firm this morning.

James Jekan from the company said: “It was the outside office, the back of it is quite burnt but it is fine.

“No-one was seriously injured and we’re operating as normal.”
