ANYONE passing through Great Missenden on Sunday morning may have spotted the rare sight of 63 classic scooters all parked up alongside each other.

The weekend marked a record turn out for the increasingly growing clan of enthusiasts, who are The South Bucks Scooter Alliance.

For the past nine months the Deep Mill Diner on London Road has been the gathering point for the collectors.

But never before had so many got together at once.

Steve Gray, alliance spokesman, said: “The turnout comprised both Lambrettas and Vespas, it was a sight to behold for not just the scooter riders but for the passing traffic and other customers.

“Riders from as far as Basingstoke, Harrow, Welwyn Garden City, Windsor and all around the High Wycombe area enjoyed the sunshine and a hearty breakfast before riding off the Naphill and The Wheel PH.”

New members are welcome.
