BEACONSFIELD resident Alan Yates, 61, is set to cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats at the end of August in memory of his late wife. Judith died of cancer ten years ago and Alan wants to raise cash for Cancer Research. To sponsor him see related links.

SEER Green Gardening Society is holding a scarecrow competition with residents invited to make a scarecrow to display in the front garden or allotment. Entrants should have it ready for judging on Saturday, August 25. Prizes will be awarded at the society’s Autumn Show on Saturday, September 8.
