Police making progress at ASB hotspot in Bourne End
POLICE say their efforts to tackle anti-social behaviour in a Bourne End road are having a positive impact.
Thames Valley Police has received more than 80 calls about problems in Brent Road since 2006 – but only four of those have come this year.
Brent Road was highlighted as an anti-social behaviour hotspot in 2008. It featured in the Bucks Free Press again in November last year, when arson was suspected after a two-car fire.
PC Richard Martin said: "The residents of Brent Road have had a difficult time over the past few years, but we have seen a vast reduction in the number of calls and improvements in the quality of life to the local residents.
"Issues around drug use and drug supply is something we are working very hard on, but we do rely on information from the community in order to identify the people involved in these activities, so that we can take action against them."
He asks the local community to continue reporting any anti-social behaviour or suspicious activity by calling 101.
