Mexican restaurant to open in Amersham Mexican restaurant to open in Amersham

A TASTE of Mexico is coming to Amersham as a new restaurant opens next week.

Chimichanga is to serve its first tacos and fajitas from Wednesday 12 when it opens its doors in the Old Town.

It takes over from the former Caffe Uno in The Broadway and will create 15 new jobs.

The new restaurant will have room for 78 customers and will specialise in traditional Mexican food and offer a wide range of cocktails.

Chief executive Jonathan Kaye said: "I’m confident that people will be impressed with the transformation of the building and that the restaurant will prove popular with people of all ages.

"It will serve a superb selection of Mexican food in comfortable and stylish surroundings and I believe that it will be a good addition to Old Amersham’s social scene."

Chimichanga will be open from noon-11pm throughout the week.

Shame it's just part of the same chain, serving the same terrible food, with different seasoning.

Trust Mr. Kaye paid for this very generous piece of advertising.

Andy Carswell, your Bucks Free Press reporter, laps up and relays owner-confident, chief executive, superb menu selection blurb, on this new (replacing old) failed Old Amersham main street eatery.

No such thing as a free lunch? Hmm

There's a pattern developing here.

BFP has now published the second blatant advertisement for a new eatery in the space of two weeks.

It's not news.

We're not interested.

Especially when it's just re-branding and existing, in my opinion, terrible restaurant. If I wanted to go to a Prezzo group restaurant, I'd go to Prezzo across the road, incidentally where there used to be another pub. If they want to contribute to the 'social scene' how about keeping the puns open so you can have pre/post dinner drink!
