Cllr Bill Bendyshe-Brown, who is spearheading the new award.
A NEW business award is aiming to celebrate achievements of excellence among small and medium-sized enterprises across the Wycombe District over the last 12 months.
The Wycombe Business Expo will be hosting the inaugural Bendyshe-Brown for SME Excellence and nominations are now being invited.
The award is being spearheaded by Wycombe District councillor Bill Bendsyshe Brown, who hopes to maintain the momentum of the small business initiative he ran during his chairmanship of WDC in 2010 - 2011.
Businesses with 20 or fewer employees based in the Wycombe district are eligible to compete for the prize.
They can nominate themselves, or be nominated by another company, but must be supported by testimonials from customers or clients.
The award is also being supported by Wycombe District Council, Buckinghamshire Business First, the Risborough Area Business Group and the Bucks Free Press.
Entries must be submitted by September 30.
This year’s Wycombe Business Expo is being held on November 2 at the Cressex School. Wycombe MP Steve Baker is set to present the award at the After Expo Party at Lane End Conference Centre that evening.
