9:10am Tuesday 11th September 2012 in News By Neil Phillips
CDC Cllr Seb Berry will chair the meeting
TUNNELLING experts will address a public meeting on Sunday as the battle to derail the controversial HS2 plan continues.
Great Missenden Stop HS2 is holding the latest in its series meetings from 5pm at Great Missenden Memorial Hall.
It will give people a chance to hear from tunnelling experts on the range of possible tunnelling options that could be pursued by HS2, such as a full tunnel through the AONB and one that emerges part-way through.
The main speaker at the meeting will be Raymond Payne, an experienced engineer who has worked on design and construction of buildings and civil engineering structures, including most recently acting as Head of Construction Strategy and Logistics for the Olympic Delivery Authority and the delivery of the venues and infrastructure for the Olympic Park.
Other experienced engineers with tunnelling expertise will also be at the meeting, to be chaired by Great Missenden Chiltern District Councillor Seb Berry.
