Bucks doctors want views on health services

BUCKS doctors set to take over NHS budgets have arranged a series of events to gather people’s views on health services.
Chiltern Clinical Commissioning Group says it is keen to work with patients and local groups to examine how healthcare in the south of the county can be improved.
Dr Annet Gamell, a Wycombe GP and the group’s lead clinician, said: "GPs and other healthcare professionals are determined to ensure the way health services develop directly reflects local views and needs....These meetings will help to shape the way decisions are made."
The events over the next few weeks follow on from a series of engagement sessions earlier this year, where topics for discussion included transport links between hospitals, reducing obesity and increasing levels of exercise.
Chiltern CCG is also inviting people to give their views via questionnaires, phone, social networking sites, email and the through the website: www.chilternccg.nhs.uk

Wooburn Green Locality - Thursday 20 September 2012, 6.30pm-8pm. The Community Room, Bourne End Library, Wakeman Road.
Wycombe Locality - Thursday 27 September, 6.30pm-8pm. Hamilton Primary School, Priory Avenue, High Wycombe.
Amersham and Chesham Locality - Wednesday 3 October, 1pm-2.30pm. Large Community Hall, Chesham Town Hall, Chesham.
Southern Locality - Wednesday 10 October, 1.00pm to 2.30pm. Burnham Park, Windsor Lane, Burnham.
