A SPEEDY sheep from Odds Farm Park in Wooburn Common is set to appear in the 2013 Guinness Book of World Records.

The appropriately named ‘Lamborghini’ has scooped the record for 'most races won by a sheep', having won in 165 of his 179 total season appearances.

Only eight per cent of world records appear in the famous annual, so everyone at the farm is delighted that Lamborghini’s achievement has been acknowledged on page 63.

Operations Director Neil Scott said: “All the staff at Odds Farm Park knew that our racing sheep were fast, but Lamborghini stood out from the rest. We knew he was world class but are delighted that this is now official.”

Lamborghini was born at the farm in January 2011 and took to racing immediately, winning his first race in April 2011.

He loves the sound of the crowd and always carries the same jockey on his back - a soft toy pig called Del Trotter.

Sheep racing is one of the most popular activities at the farm, taking place from April until the end of October.

Visitors choose a sheep to win and if they guess correctly they win a medal to take home.
