Bledlow Ridge cyclists well on their way to £100k
2:07pm Tuesday 18th September 2012 in News By Rebecca Cain
A GROUP of cyclists hoping to raise £100,000 for cancer research were waved off from Bledlow Ridge yesterday.
The team, who are mostly from the village and the surrounding area, started their 1000 mile bike ride from Land’s End to John O’Groats on Friday.
They plan to reach their destination on the 23rd and added about 100 miles onto the usual route in order to go home along the way.
They have so far raised £60,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Yesterday morning pupils from the Bledlow Ridge School saw the cyclists on their way, which was then followed by a Coffee Morning at The Boot pub.
