A FIVE-year-old boy who has raised about £25,000 for a charity in Saunderton went to its summer show on Sunday where he met a Stereophonics guitarist.

Logan McKerrow, from Chard in Somerset, made his own Olympic torch ahead of the games, and with the help of his mum, Kerry listed the torch on Ebay, which has now become a relay.

A JustGiving page was also set up and at the moment he has raised £24,500.

He chose to donate the money to Hearing Dogs for Deaf People, who's HQ, is in Saunderton and is celebrating its 30th year.

Its annual summer show was postponed earlier in the year until Sunday, where Richard Jones, who is a Stereophonics guitarist opened it. Logan and his mum headed to the show.

The latest bidder of the torch, who is a Hearing Dogs recipient took the torch along. Kerry said about Logan's idea: "It is lovely. For an idea to come from Logan who is five. It is just lovely how everyone has got on board with it."

The charity have named a Hearing Dog's puppy after Logan, and the five-year-old even got to go to the closing ceremony of the Paralympics.

There was a host of activities at the show at The Grange in Saunderton to keep people entertained.
