O'Neill back at Adams Park tonight
LEGENDARY former Wanderers manager Martin O'Neill is back at Adams Park tonight as part of the club's 125th anniversary celebrations.
He will be back for an evening of celebration and nostalgia 125 years to the day Blues played their first ever game.
Now manager of Sunderland, O'Neill twice led Wanderers to promotion and was a Wembley winner three times, twice in FA Trophy finals and once in a play-off final.
A number of ex players, including Keith Scott, will also be there for a Q and A session.
Scott said: "He made me in terms of my career. I've got a lot to thank him for. He's great to be around, he's a really nice bloke and always willing to talk."
Despite the passage of time since he last played under O'Neill, Scott says he still calls him boss whenever he speaks to him.
He said: "There's two managers I refer to as gaffer and Martin O'Neill is one, with John Gorman the other. They had the biggest influence on my playing career.
"I've got the utmost respect for them as managers. They treated you the way you wanted to be treated, as adults."
