Probably another motorcyclist who thinks they immune to the rules of the road.

My son rides a motorbike and keeps to the rules . i would think it would be wrong to make assumptions . he has been knocked of his bike twice by cars not giving him enough room . and even though he wears hi vi's they dont see him till the last second . on numerous occasions i have been crossing the road by the crossing in question and been nearly knocked over by cars trying to jump the lights lets hope who ever was to blame that both parties are ok but i should imagine if they have closed the road it could be quite bad . the roads are wet atm and the leaves are falling . not a good mixture for motorbikes and the pot holes along the london road are still there . it could of been for several reasons.

bonkers, what do you mean "not giving him enough room"?

Wouldn't it be nice if motorcyclists had lane discipline and wait in a stationary queue of traffic, in single file, like everyone else?

Yes - do not assume it was the motorcyclist's fault - motorcyclists are more often better on the road than those that exclusively drive cars.
Many car drivers get annoyed with bikers as bikers have more opportunity to avoid traffic; then make unfounded statements about bikers 'being immune to road rules' etc.
I hope no one was hurt in this collision.

I drive cars and also ride motorbikes and although I have seen some fools riding bikes very fast and dangerously I can tell you that there are many more fools driving in cars/van’s/buses and lorries that will actually cause more accidents and unfortunately the riders pay for those mistakes with their life’s or being very seriously injured.

It is absolutely legal and perfectly reasonable for bikers to pass traffic on either side. It is unreasonable for other road users to block this access. There are some bikers that 'take the mick', just as there are car drivers that do the same. It is silly to expect bikers to sit in traffic like cars when they have room to pass.

What a daft comment to make before the circumstances of this particular accident are known.

I second that comment, there are some crazy drivers around these days, bikes and cars.

It's called filtering, and it's legal (but sometimes hazardous).

der a car is wider than a motorbike . cars try to take over my sons motorbike he is then forced towards the curb . not enough room lol

to add to that a 50cc mobed/motorbike or a 125 has restrictions on the speed some car drivers get fed up of slow bikes . most small bikes sound very fast but are actually not as fast as cars . my daughters friend rides a 50cc and cant do more than 30 mph .

What an idiotic response! assuming it was the motorcyclists fault! My dad rides harleys and has been knocked off by cars drivers a couple of times! He was even knocked off by someone driving and reading at the same time whilst driving a range rover!! Does that sound like a responsible car driver to you??????
