THOUSANDS of well wishers took to the streets around the district of Wycombe today to celebrate their Olympic heroes.

An open top bus parade carried the sports stars from Marlow to High Wycombe and then through Bourne End, Loudwater and Wooburn Green, before finishing at Higginson Park in Marlow.

The video below shows the bus coming into Marlow, through the High Street and then stopping at the George and Dragon Pub.

From there, the Olympians walked through a guard of honour, formed by Gamesmakers, the volunteers who helped run London 2012, who were also special guests at the event.

Watch the video below to see them as they are greeted by thousands of adoring fans in Higginson Park.

Were you at the parade today? What did you think? Leave your comments below.

devils daughter says...

Myself and my son were at Bucks New Uni this morning and most people were very good and helpful. The Olympians and Paralympians were so polite and patient, however some in the crowd were not so good and would push and shove their way towards the front regardless of what they were told pushing children out of the way
