Volunteers see the results of their hard work
2:20pm Saturday 6th October 2012 in News
CHARITY shop volunteers saw the results of their hard work when they paid a visit to the hospice they raise money for.
Volunteers from the Helen and Douglas House shop in Princes Risborough went to the children and young adults hospice.
Upon their arrival at the hospice in East Oxford they had lunch with the organisation’s founder Sister Frances and toured the house and hospice grounds.
The charity is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
Yvonne Davidson, volunteer development co-ordinator, said: "For many of our retail volunteers it was the first time they had met Sister Frances or been to Helen and Douglas House, so they were able to see first-hand how the money raised in our shops is used. It was a fantastic day.’"
