BOURNE END Community Centre is hosting a series of activities next week as part of the Community Association’s 50th anniversary celebrations. There will be short mat bowls on Monday, a flower club open evening on Tuesday, theatre shows on Wednesday, old photographs on Thursday, cream teas on the Friday and a finale disco on the Saturday. THE Chepping 16 Plus Young Drivers course returns this month – aiming to show 16 and 17-year-olds how dangerous driving can be, with various agencies giving insights into the causes and results of accidents. WYCOMBE Heights Golf Centre in Loudwater is inviting golfers to pull on their jeans today and take part in ‘Jeans for Genes Day’ - to raise funds for Genetic Disorders UK. Throughout the day £1 of every green fee will be donated to the charity.

THE Wooburn Club has live music tonight from The New Ambassadors, playing lots of classic and modern pop from 8pm. Free entry.

ST Paul’s Church in Wooburn Green hosts a Chamber Concert from the Heath String Quartet tonight, as part of the Wooburn Festival. Tickets are £16 for full view area seats and £10 for restricted view, with students paying half price. Book through the Wycombe Swan - 01494 512000.

A VISUAL arts exhibition opens in St Paul’s Church hall tomorrow, and runs all week. It includes paintings, sculpture, ceramics and jewellery, and features the work of Diana Johnson, one of the Wooburn Festival organisers who sadly died last year.

FLACKWELL HEATH British Legion has music tomorrow from father and daughter duo Joe and Charmaine Joe Solo, from 8pm. It is also selling tickets for a Poppy Dance on October 26, when Cookie and The Blue Jays will be performing. Tickets are £5.
