POLICE suspect a fire in Princes Risborough on Tuesday night was started deliberately.

Thousands of pounds worth of damage was caused by a fire in Station Road after a dustbin caught fire and spread to a garage area and two cars (see related links).

Sergeant Andrew Deane believes the incident could be linked to recent reports of anti-social behaviour in the Station Road area.

He said the blaze started between 10pm on Tuesday and 1am on Wednesday and had potentially put people’s lives at risk.

The police are appealing for any witnesses or information relating to the incident.
