Motorcyclist death: Victim identified
1:05pm Thursday 11th October 2012 in News By Simon Farr
THE 52-year-old motorcyclist who died after striking a concrete block deliberately left in the middle of Daws Hill Lane has been named.
Jeremy Edwards of Station Road, Loudwater, was travelling home when he came off his blue Honda CBR bike near the former RAF base in Daws Hill Lane at about 6.30am on Sunday.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by the emergency services.
Chief Inspector Colin Seaton wants justice for the Edwards family and is pleading for any witnesses to come forward – or for those responsible to hand themselves in.
He said: “The concrete block was placed in the carriageway deliberately and I would like to appeal directly to those responsible to come forward.
“We need to get justice for the family. They have devastatingly lost a loved one in this tragic incident and we need to find out the circumstances to be able to help them understand how this happened.
“If you were in the area at the time, or know who did this, please get in touch. The guilt of if you know something and don’t come forward will stay with you forever.”
Contact police on the non-emergency 101 enquiry line or, alternatively, the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111 with any information.
