Villagers hope Olympics will boost volunteering in Holmer Green

WITH volunteering in everyone's mind after the Olympics a village in south Bucks has taken the initiative to make the most of this.

The Holmer Green Community website has launched its own volunteering page.

The London 2012 Olympics more than 35,000 people volunteered for tasks as varied as marshalling and meeting Olympians at airports.

In Holmer Green, many charities and not-for-profit organisations are looking for helpers whilst some residents don't know where to go to volunteer.
