A MOTORIST sustained cuts to the eye after he was punched in the face by a man in a High Wycombe road.

Officers were called to Hithercroft Road at 6.20pm on October 4 following an incident between a black Renault Scenic and a blue Honda Civic, police revealed today.

It resulted in the driver of the Honda Civic being punched in the face by the man, which left him with cuts to the area around his eye, police said.

Investigating officer PC Mike Ellyard is appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault to come forward, as it is believed there were other vehicles on the road at the time.
