School parents warned of 'suspicious incident'
PARENTS in Flackwell Heath have been warned about a ‘suspicious incident’ involving a driver trying to speak to an 11-year-old girl.
Juniper Hill School, in Churchill Close, has alerted parents to the incident on Friday after receiving information from the police.
A message to parents says a red vehicle pulled up alongside the girl between 3.30 and 4.30pm on Friday, and the male driver tried to engage her in conversation.
Officers added: “The young girl had the presence of mind not to speak to the male and went straight home and reported the incident to her parents.
“The male driver is described as a mixed race male, aged 20-30 years, with dark-coloured hair which was short in length, and had a possible accent as he was difficult to understand.”
The BFP has asked officers to provide more detail about where this happened.
A similar incident was also reported in Hughenden Valley on Saturday (see related links), but police spokesman Adam Fisher said the two incidents are not thought to be linked.
