A MERCEDES crashed into the central reservation as it headed towards London on the M40 early this morning.

Firefighters were called out to the accident about 6.30am but nobody was injured or trapped.

The road conditions were poor at the time after heavy downpours of rain.

The collision happened between Beaconsfield and the M25 turn off but no lanes had to be closed.

Crews from Beaconsfield fire station attended.
