Call for dedications on tree to remember loved ones in Princes Risborough
5:30pm Saturday 20th October 2012 in News By Rebecca Cain
Last year's Tree of Light
ONCE again the residents of Princes Risborough are being asked to dedicate lights on a Christmas Tree to raise money for Iain Rennie Hospice at Home and Rotary charities.
For the fifth year running, the Princes Risborough Tree of Light, organised by Princes Risborough Rotary, will be lit by the town mayor at the Dedication Ceremony at the corner of New Road and Duke Street on Sunday, November 25 at 4 pm.
The tree means a great deal to all those who see it as an opportunity to remember loved ones.
A person who dedicated a light on the tree last year said: "A huge thank you to IRHH. I lost my husband a year ago and Ian Rennie was there to care and comfort - and help me cope.
"The Tree of Light lets me rekindle his memory in such a positive way, enabling others to benefit from this dedicated and deserving charity."
Dedication forms have been distributed door to door in the Princes Risborough area and are also available from the town's Information Centre.
Dedications will be displayed at the tree from early November. For more information contact David Griggs on 01844 345554.
