Community news: School still seeking new lollipop patroller
LOUDWATER Combined School is still looking for a new lollipop patroller after the previous lady took a job at another school. Kingsmead Road has not had a patroller for several weeks now but Bucks County Council says it is close to recruiting someone.
A COUNCIL has asked Royal Mail to re-paint the red mail boxes around Loudwater, Flackwell Heath and Tylers Green. According to Chepping Wycombe Parish Council, the mail boxes are in a poor condition and have not been painted for ten years.
FLACKWELL Heath British Legion has entertainment from singer Neil Patrick tomorrow from 8pm. The Legion is also gearing up for a Poppy Appeal dance on October 26, when Cookie and The Blue Jays will be performing. Tickets are £5.
FLACKWELL Heath Methodist Church raised £360 by taking part in the recent World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ event in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. About 50 people attended on September 29.
THE Wooburn Club has live music from a Rat Pack tribute band tonight. The Boys are Back will be performing from 8pm. Tickets are £12 including light supper and are available only from The Wycombe Swan box office on 01494 512000.
BARBARA and David’s monthly social dance comes to Bourne End Community Centre this evening, with sequence, Latin American and ballroom dancing. From 8 – 11pm.
