A MEMORIAL football match paying tribute to a popular Amersham teenager takes place this weekend.

The game will be in memory of Aaron West, a football-mad 16-year-old who died from a rare form of cancer two years ago.

It will also raise money for a goalkeeping academy set up in his name as a lasting tribute, with an auction taking place after the match to make even more much-needed cash.

Sunday's game, which kicks off at Chesham United's ground at midday, will see an Aaron West XI take on the Wycombe Wanderers Community team for the third year in a row.

The first match was intended to be a fundraising game to get the academy up and running, but Aaron died two days before it was due to take place.
