THE traditional story of Santa Claus coming to town sees him arriving in a sleigh pulled by reindeer.

But at one South Bucks farm this year it is not Rudolph and his pals who are lending a helping hoof. This year jolly old St Nick's sleigh will be pulled by pigs.

At Odds Farm Park, in Wooburn Common, Christmas visitors are being greeted by a 2.5m high inflatable model of Santa and his sleigh being pulled by pigs.

Staff at the farm made the sleigh and the pigs out of wood and decorated it all before adding a big Santa to finish it off.

Steve Vinden, owner of the farm, said: "We wanted to do something that showed the spirit of Christmas fun and enjoyment.

"It brings a smile to people's faces as they pass it and that is what we wanted to do at this special time of year.

"Hopefully it is a bit of a light relief for the visitors in the run up to Christmas."

Odds Farm has introduced a number of other festive activities for children and grown-ups, including a Santa's Grotto, a special Santa Trail and free chocolates from the farm's Christmas tree.

The farm is open throughout the festive period except from Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. For more information call 01628 520188 or visit www.oddsfarm.co.uk
