In reply to Peter Bates' scurrilous attack on the BNP (SA, April 14), he has obviously never read the BNP manifesto.

To enlighten him, briefly, we will crack down on crime, have zero tolerance for drug dealers, return to capital punishment for child killers and terrorists.

An end to immigration in our tiny, overcrowded island, the scandal of bogus asylum seekers flooding our country.

Use the billions wasted on foreign aid to fund generous homeward bound' schemes to encourage immigrants to return to their land of ethnic origin.

British ownership and control of our industry and resources, and protection of British jobs and industry by selective exclusion of foreign manufactured goods from the British market.

Use the vast sums squandered on our membership of the EU for the restoration of an effective NHS.

Withdraw from the EU.

A return to traditional methods of education with discipline in the classroom.

Protection of our countryside, a ban on greenfield site building, and protection of our farmers and fishermen against foreign fishing in our fishing grounds.

A Government that puts British interest first no British blood should be shed in conflicts which do not involve our interests.

Nobody in their right mind could object to BNP policy. The most amusing nonsense was being accused of belonging to foreign Fascist-type parties 20 years before I was born.

The saddest thing for the UK was the untimely demise of John Tyndall who would have been a brilliant Prime Minister and the greatest statesman our country would ever have known.
