WYCOMBE’s police chief has vowed to bring the people responsible for a shooting in Totteridge on Sunday to justice – as another teenager is arrested.

A 17-year-old, who was taken into custody this morning, is the fourth person to be arrested by police in connection with the incident in Lucas Wood, near Underwood Road.

Two other men from High Wycombe have now also been bailed alongside a 16-year-old.

All three have been bailed until June 17.

Supt Ed McLean, Local Police Area Commander for Wycombe, said: “This is a complex ongoing investigation and to date four people have been arrested in connection with it.

“Crimes like this are rare, but due to the seriousness of it the community can be absolutely reassured that whatever specialist resources are required I will make available and utilise to bring those responsible to justice.

“I would reassure local residents that those involved in the disturbance were known to each other and it was not a random act.

“All three scene watches from yesterday have now been closed. Officers are currently at an address in Wycombe following an arrest early this morning.

“My neighbourhood teams are out on patrol in the area to answer any questions local residents may have and to offer visible reassurance.”

Police have also re-opened three scenes across Totteridge, including Lucas Wood where the alleged shooting happened.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
