THUGS yelled “you’re in our town” at a man before they brutally assaulted him in front of his girlfriend in an unprovoked attack in a Marlow car-park.

The 33-year-old man was with his partner in the Pound Lane car-park at 10.55pm on Saturday, when he was approached by a group of men.

Police said one of the gang shouted “you’re in our town” and attacked the man, who was knocked unconscious, before they sped off in a small dark car.

The man was treated at Wexham Park Hospital for cuts to his face and head, as well as a large injury to his lip which will require surgery, officers said.

Investigating officer Det Con Quoc Vo said: “The victim and his girlfriend were spending the day in the park and looking forward to a nice evening together.

“The attack appears to have been unprovoked and brutal, leaving the victim with a long-lasting injury.”

The attackers were ‘in a group of three of four’ of which one was an Asian male. The others were all white, Thames Valley Police said.

One of the men is described as white, in his late twenties or early thirties, about 5ft 7ins tall, of stocky build and long-ish hair, police said.

He was pale, with blue eyes and was wearing jeans and possibly a red T-shirt.
